Our September Newsletter is out and includes:

Join us October 13th!: Join us for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) Thursday October  13th, 2016 @ 6:30pm at the St John’s Polish National Catholic Cathedral, 186 Cowan Ave (basement hall). The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome to attend. Enjoy snacks, meet community leaders & learn more about what the BIA does! Do you want to join our Board!?:   The Parkdale Village BIA wants you to join the Board of Directors! The BIA is governed by a volunteer Board of Management made up of eleven members serving a four-year term concurrent with the term of Council. The Board works on behalf of its BIA members (the shop owners & property owners), along with an Executive Director & Assistant Coordinator and meets regularly to ensure Marketing and Streetscape Strategies are implemented. Monthly meetings generally take place the first Monday of every month from 6:30-8:30pm at the PVBIA office. If you are interested in applying please contact us today for more details.

Tree for Me: The Parkdale Residents Association (PRA) is hooking up with the Toronto Parks and Tree Foundation to offer free trees to Parkdale Residents. Volunteers are needed for the Tree for Me event, contact leerichmond@gmail.com or attend an information session at High Park Nature Centre on either:
Sept 22nd 6-8pm or Sept 25th 10am-12pm.

 

Dufferin Street Bridge: Metrolinx will be hosting their second drop-in session at the Carnaby Condominium located at 10 Minowan Miikan Lane (formerly 11 Peel Avenue) on September 29, 2016 from 5 to 7p.m. Representatives from Metrolinx will be there to answer any questions you may have about the Dufferin & Queen Street Bridge closure.
